Dolomite
Dolomite (CaMg(CO3)2) is often used to adjust soil pH in the same way as lime with the added benefit of Magnesium (Mg) to assist in balancing the soils Calcium to Magnesium ratio. A good ratio assists in moving nutrients through the plant. By improving nutrient availability and soil structure, dolomite helps plants absorb nutrients and water more efficiently, supporting stronger root development and healthier overall growth. It is particularly beneficial for magnesium‑deficient soils, helping to prevent nutrient lock‑up and improve fertiliser efficiency across farms and pastures.

In addition to its role in soil improvement, dolomite is also commonly used in stock feed. As a natural source of calcium and magnesium, it supports strong bones, healthy metabolism, and overall livestock wellbeing, making it a versatile product for crop, pasture, and animal nutrition systems.
