In November 2023, Australian Agricultural Minerals (AAM) and Sugar Research Australia Limited (SRA) co-hosted a guided tour to our Miriwinni Lime & Gypsum (MLG) Mine and Processing Plant at Mt Garnet. The event was a tremendous success, and attendees were treated to a day filled with insightful presentations and discussions.

The guided tour provided a unique opportunity for participants to learn about the incredible natural resources that AAM provides through its North Queensland operations. Throughout the day, attendees heard from AAM’s CEO David Smith, who delivered an overview on mining operations, shedding light on the company’s vision and goals. His insightful remarks provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of AAM’s commitment to excellence.

Chris Herrington, SSE Mine Manager and Rocco Palmeri, Mine Supervisor at Mt Garnet, shared valuable information as they led our group through the operations of MLG’s processing and blending plants. Their engaging explanations not only clarified the intricacies of the production stages, but also provided a deeper insight into the efficiency and precision involved in mining processes.
